• Degree/Diploma in Geographic Information Systems.
• Experience in ESRI's ArcView Suite, and ER Mapper is essential.
• Knowledge of Geodatabases and database management is required.

Duties: Mapping, Analysis, Data Entry, Data Maintenance, and Georeferencing.

Description: The successful candidate will be required to draft both 2D and 3D seismic lines, as well as generating in-house proprietary oil and gas reports (Training will be provided). A general understanding of the basic ArcView tools and basic shapefile editing will be required as well as data importing and conversions. The candidate must be familiar with Crown, Freehold, White, and Green land and must be familiar with the Dominion Land Survey grid used throughout western Canada. This person must also be able to work independently and be prepared to work under pressure with (sometimes) short deadlines.
This position requires a very broad skill set and will suit the fast-learning, technically-oriented GIS Professional.
